Defining associated programs allows the user to use specific programs to view locked files. When a user attempts to view a file within Filelocker, the associated program used to open the file is determined by the computer running Filelocker. If a user wishes to use a different program to view a file, an associated program can be defined in the settings to override this program used by the computer.
Example:
A user has locked an MP3 file: When the user attempts to view the file it gets opened with the system CD Player. Instead of using the CD Player the user wants to use Winamp to view MP3 files instead. In order to accomplish this an associated program is created for MP3 files.

Click the "New..." button.

Enter the File Type (For this example, MP3 files would be defined by: mp3, .mp3 or *.mp3). Enter the path to the file that starts the associated program or click on the "Browse..." button to browse the file system for this file. In this example the file that starts winamp is "C:\Program Files\Winamp\winamp.exe"
Click "OK" to complete the File Association.

Click "OK" to accept the new File Association.
Once this associated program has been created, all MP3 files will view with winamp instead of the system CD Player.
